Edwin “Eddy” Michael Ellis, 67, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Mr. Ellis was born in Greenville, SC to Martha Hammett Ellis and the late Mickey Ellis. Eddy was an alumnus of the University of South Carolina and member of Unity Baptist Church. Eddy was also a successful salesman in Makita USA’s Southeast region and later retired from Freud America. He was an avid golfer and member of Fox Run Country Club. Eddy was known for his never-ending sense of humor and “larger than life” presence. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his son, Dustin Ellis; former wife and friend, Rhonda Lynch Ellis; brother, Phil Ellis and wife Ann; and his niece, Amanda Ellis Watkins and husband Craig and their three sons, Greyson, Ellis, and Will Watkins. Memorial Services will be privately held.
