Student life at the Fashion Institute of Technology is hard to crack into. If you can find your crowd it's great; but even finding your crowd is hard. If you want to be prepared to step into the fashion industry, whether it be through the runway or through the corporate offices, FIT will prepare you. The professors are seasoned individuals in their respective fields, and provide honet advice on getting started in your career. Overral, this is a bootcamp for the industry.

Attending FIT in NYC fulfills a long-held dream, offering an interesting and educational experience in the heart of the city. The unique student life, defined by the city itself, suits my preferences, though a more vibrant campus atmosphere and increased club involvement would be appreciated. I also see room for improvement, particularly in hiring younger professors and addressing challenges in upper division majors, such as a shortage of faculty and potential curriculum adjustments. While FIT has been a stepping stone toward my goals, enhancements in these areas could further enrich the overall experience.

The Fashion Institute of Technology is an amazing college to go to if you are a student truly interested in pursuing fashion as a career! As a current freshman, one of my favorite experience being an FIT student is having the resources that are helping me achieve my future career goals and motivate me to become the best person I can be.
Other than the academics, something I wish were better was the dining hall. You definitely get tired of the food everyday. The only promising thing you can have after a while is the sushi bar.
Also the social settings, lots of people say that it's hard to make breaks but I think that's how it is in every college. You have to put yourself out there, you have to engage with people, join clubs that fit your interests (there are a lot), and make the first move a few times! Don't be intimidated by cliques. You'll do great!:)
