July 19 members of the Saskatchewan Team Vipond/Alsask gathered in Regina to cheer on the Saskatchewan Roughriders in celebration of winning Vipond’s 2023 Operational Excellence Award- Best combined overall excellence of operations in all ODU metrics categories. Since the Riders were playing against their “Banjo Bowl rivals” the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Saskatchewan thought they would welcome some of the Winnipeg team to join them. Even Vice President Craig Ross found himself in his very own Rider jersey!👀 It was a close matchup for the majority of the game but the Roughriders did end up pulling away with the victory with a final score of Roughriders: 19 and Blue Bombers: 9. This was a great team-building event and congratulations to Vipond/Alsask on winning the Operational Excellence Award! 💙 #vipondinc #award #cfl

BBQ in Winnipeg! 🔥 Our team in Winnipeg held a BBQ and Ladder Ball tournament last week! 🔥 Grilling Safety Tips and Facts! 🔥 It's the middle of summer now! This means it's time to pull out the BBQ if you haven't already. So we wanted to share some tips about fire safety and facts about grilling fires so you can grill safely this summer! Did you know that July is the peak month for grill fires? 16% of grill fires occur during the month of July, and in 20% of grill fires, the grill had not been properly cleaned. On average there are over 9000 home fires per year that involve gas grills, with the primary problem being leaks or breaks. Tips to remember: ⚪ Regularly clean your grill and remove any grease or fat buildup from the grill or tray below.⚪ Make sure your grill is a safe distance from any structures such as your house walls or deck/balcony railings.⚪ Keep children and pets at a safe distance from the grill (3 feet or more).⚪ Never leave your grill unattended during use.#vipondinc #summer #bbq #grilling #firesafety #tips

🎉 Sprinkler Fitter Carl Naumann wins the U.A. Canadian National Sprinkler Fitter Competition!! Along with the Standard for Excellence Award! 🎉 Congratulations again to Carl Naumann from our Vipond Barrie Branch on becoming a U.A. national champion!! Carl also won the Standard for Excellence Award, which is presented to the apprentice who best represents the values of the U.A., such as attitude, professionalism, and quality of work. This award is voted on by other competitors in the competition.🏆 But it doesn't stop here for Carl. Now Carl goes on to represent Canada in the U.A.
