On Thursday, May 2, 2024 I went to the Drive Time lot on Cassat Ave. in Jacksonville, FL. I had an appointment for 3:00 PM but got there about ten minutes early. I was greeted by everyone at the location and was introduced to my sales person, Allan **. We went over to his desk and started the process of determining what I could get with my guidelines of no more than 500.00 per month and 500.00 down. Alan did his "Magic" and came back with a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan, that I had actually looked at online the day before, talk about Karma!
I took the vehicle for a spin and liked it very much. Then we talked about the numbers, Alan told me that with 0 down and for 610.00 per month I could get it. I explained I just could not afford that and reminded him about my 500 payment limit. He then suggested if we worked the numbers with a down payment we could see. He also told me that the price included the extended warranty, the gap coverage, and one other optional service. So we ran the numbers with only the extended warranty and 300 down. It came back at 572, but knowing that it included the extended warranty and gap coverage, both of which I had planned to buy anyway, I decided this was in my budget.
Then came the trouble. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with Alan or Drive Time, it took me four hours to get insurance. I was getting so much run around and craziness from the main insurers, but, Alan to the rescue. He put me in touch with a low rate insurance company in Orlando, and within 45 minutes I had insurance for a lower down payment and lower monthly fee. Alan ** is the MAN!! I will not hesitate to tell anyone I know looking for a good used vehicle to go visit Alan at Drive Time.

I am a 40-year-old single mother with a not so great credit score. I needed a new vehicle as mine was on its last leg and I drive 40 minutes to and from work. I actually work at a different bhph dealership but my dad had told me about DriveTime as he bought his truck through them. After work I decided to stop by as I work just down the road. I was looking at vehicles when Cary came to help. We went inside and I told her what I was looking for. She was able to narrow down my wants and needs and we scrolled through my choices on the computer screen. I decided to test drive 2 different Jeeps.
She was extremely patient with me as I was on the phone with my father to help me through the decision-making. I was able to get my APR down about 14% with the down payment I was going to make as well as my payments. I had a trade-in that they offered me a great price for but I did not have the title for at the time. It was a Saturday evening so we made an appointment for Monday after I got off work. On Monday I arrived for my appointment with my title. Cary was off that day but had things ready for Valerie. Valerie was a very nice woman. She was very informative about my Jeep. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I invited me so good both times I've had to go there. They worked with me to make sure the payments were what I could afford and helped me get the car that I really wanted. I just purchased a car from them a few months ago but it got totaled so I had to go back to get another car and let me tell you that works with me and made everything easy for me because I have been going through a whole lot since my car got totaled. It was not my fault. That was someone else's fault but they had no insurance and so it's costing me everything. I initially started my car purchase two weeks ago at the DriveTime Marietta location. I was told that I had to return in two weeks because I needed some additional documents. I was able to return, but ended up going to the Union City location because it was closer to where I was at the moment, I called and spoke to Tia. She told me to upload my documents. I did and she returned my phone call and told me to come on in so that she could see if she could help me out so I did. When I got there I was greeted by Ms. **. She did an amazing job. They were able to verify all my documents and get me in the vehicle that I asked for. It was a very painless process.
Even the rest of the staff was extremely nice, offered water and entertain my daughter while I filled out paperwork. Thank you so very much for your service to the community.
