#sanskriteffectI have been learning Sanskrit for the past year, focusing on understanding and pronunciation. Despite knowing Hindi and Marathi, there is no language quite like Sanskrit. It has a uniquely enriching effect on the mind and spirit. On days when I chant mantras, I feel an incredible sense of well-being, and I recently discovered why.The "Sanskrit effect" is a term coined by neuroscientist Dr. James Hartzell to describe the cognitive benefits of learning Sanskrit, an ancient Indo-European language from India. Hartzell's research suggests that memorizing Vedic mantras can increase the size of brain regions associated with cognitive function, such as memory. His team used MRI scans to study the brains of 42 professional Vedic Sanskrit Pandits who had trained for at least a decade, confirming these cognitive enhancements.Read more about thishttps://lnkd.in/g7Gcnb37

#lifelesson on the way to workEvery morning on my way to work, I see a few roly-polys crossing the sidewalk. These tiny creatures, with a lifespan of just a couple of days, are beneficial to our gardens as they break down dead and decaying materials. When I see them, I tread carefully to avoid stepping on them. I smile because it reminds me that, like the roly-poly, we all have goals. The difference is our awareness. I want to ensure they fulfill their purpose before their short life ends. This brings me joy as I walk in the building . In our busy lives, it’s easy to miss the simple joys around us. Those who find beauty in the ordinary are truly blessed. Let’s appreciate the small wonders that often go unnoticed and enrich our perspective.Have a blessed weekend!#Inspiration #Perspective #Gratitude #Mindfulness

🤔🤔Did you know the difference between mentor and sponsor ? 🤝A mentor provides guidance, advice, and support to help you develop your skills and navigate your career. They share their experience and knowledge to help you grow personally and professionally. 🚪A sponsor, on the other hand, actively advocates for you, using their influence and networks to open up opportunities. They speak on your behalf in key meetings, recommend you for promotions, and help you gain visibility within the organization. While mentors help you build your capabilities, sponsors help you advance your career. Who is speaking behind those closed doors, and what are they saying about you? If you want new doors to open for you, you need someone advocating for you behind closed ones, says business executive Carla Harris. Here's why she says everyone needs a sponsor:Your voice is your currency , use it 👏👏👏👏

It's only been a little over 50 years since ISKCON was founded by Srila Prabhupada. At the age of 70, he embarked on a courageous journey by ship to America, enduring two heart attacks along the way. He arrived alone and penniless, driven by a divine mission to spread Lord Krishna's love across the globe.Today, world leaders recognize ISKCON for its profound contributions. The journey of ISKCON, rooted in daily acts of faith and selfless service, has emerged as a beacon of a harmonious and peaceful society. True religion transcends sectarian boundaries, teaching us all to love God.The message of Indian civilization is one of love, compassion, piety, sacrifice, and renunciation. #VasudhaivaKutumbakam #Integration #HareKrishna #BhagavadGitaInner peace is the precursor to global peace. #faithinactionhttps://lnkd.in/gCwvFyTe#avasudhaivakutumbakam . #intergration . #harekrishna #bhagvadgeeta Inner peace before global peace I am blessed to recognize Lord Krishna’s love in my life in everything I am and doAppreciation to all the devotees Iike Anuttama Dasa Yachneet Pushkarna S.B. Lord Jagannath of Puri is a prominent deity in Sanatana Dharma, worshipped primarily in Odisha, India. He is considered a form of Lord Vishnu or Krishna. The name “Jagannath” means “Lord of the Universe,” highlighting his universal appeal and significance 🌍.Today, I had a rare first time opportunity to participate in the Deva Snana Purnima in Plano, which honors Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra, and his sister Devi Subhadra 🚩.Deva Snana Purnima is a significant festival celebrated at the Jagannath Temple on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Jyeshtha, typically in June 🌕. During this traditional bathing ceremony, the deities—Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra—are bathed with 108 pitchers of scented water on the Snana Mandap 🚿. After the bath, they are dressed in new clothes and adorned with flowers 🌺, allowing devotees a rare direct view, known as Sahana Mela 👀. Following this, the deities enter the Anasara period, a 15-day seclusion where they are treated with herbal medicines due to the excessive bathing 🌿. Deva Snana Purnima also marks the beginning of preparations for the Rath Yatra, where the deities journey to the Gundicha Temple to visit their aunt 🛕This entire festival is so relatable and human-like, reflecting deep cultural and spiritual significance 💖. Another interesting point is that none of the three deities have eyelids, symbolizing their eternal vigilance and omnipresence, emphasizing their constant watchfulness over the universe and their devotees 👁️.Wishing everyone a joyous and blessed Deva Snana Purnima! May Lord Jagannath bless you with happiness, prosperity, and peace 🌸.#chappanbhog. 56 food varieties of offering #LordJagannath #SanatanaDharma #DevaSnanaPurnima #Odisha #RathYatra #HinduFestival #Spirituality #CulturalHeritage #EternalVigilance #PlanoCelebration #Blessings #Joy #Peace
