Is it harder to get financial aid for graduate school? ›

Graduate students have different loan and aid options than undergraduate students. As a graduate student, the only loans you can qualify for are direct unsubsidized loans and grad PLUS, so you're responsible for all interest that accrues on your loan.

For first year undergraduate students admitted to the NYU New York campus: Families with income less than $100,000 will not have to pay tuition. NYU will meet 100% demonstrated need.

Federal and private loans are available to help you pay for your graduate education. Federal loans require you filing a FAFSA. Payment plans offered through the NYU Bursar also available.
