  1. #868 Best Public Elementary Schools in CaliforniaNatomas Charter SchoolSacramento, CA·Public School·K-12·Rating 4.02 out of 5 303 reviewsSenior: I have been attending Natomas Charter School since 6th grade and it is an amazing school. I've discovered a lot about myself as a student, artist, and person all throughout the years. But in more recent years, I've seen a decline in the school's culture. Our school is distinct as it is an art school, one that is very diverse in every aspect you can think of. It's not a regular high school, but it's starting to feel like just a regular high school. Every few months or so the bathrooms get closed off because of students, majority underclassmen, are caught vaping inside of them and it's really inconvenient and disappointing to hear. In addition, many male students complain of the quality of their bathrooms and how the sinks don't even work anymore.... Cornerstone Christian SchoolSacramento, CA·Private School·PK, K-12·Rating 5 out of 5 18 reviewsParent: Our son has attended Cornerstone Christian School for roughly a decade including preschool. In that time I have seen teachers get tears in their eyes over proud moments as well as the tough times. They truly have a love for the students. They have been there to pray and hug him through everything from skinned knees to difficult emotional days. 21. St. Francis of Assisi Elementary SchoolSacramento, CA·Private School·PK, K-8·Rating 4.08 out of 5 12 reviewsParent: St. Francis has been amazing for our family! Our son who is now in 3rd grade matriculated at kindergarten. It was an easy transition and has loved the school ever since. The teachers and administrators are amazing! The kids are very close and supportive of each other from TK to 8th grade. It is a very positive environment. Even though most commute to the school from different areas we still feel very connected. It is a community of learning, care, service and support. We started our daughter in TK this year. I was nervous with her being only 4 years old. She adjusted after just one day and loves her classmates. The school is academically challenging but does not overload the kids with unnecessary work. The many events and activities provide great socializing opportunities with other families. The afterschool care is essential for us. The kids have so much fun. Neither one of my children ever wants to leave early!...
