Our client, a large Metals Recycler, is seeking an Operations Manager to directly oversee the Productivity, Safety & Efficiency of the Yard. This role will be responsible for maintaining Quality, Safety, Security & Environmental Compliance.
In this role, the Operations Manager will be responsible for leading & managing all yard & shop personnel.
Responsibilities
Responsible for Planning & Scheduling for operations employees
Directly Manage, Train, Develop & Discipline team members as needed
Create a culture of accountability
Coordinate inbound & outbound shipments with dispatcher
Work cross-functionally with Maintenance to schedule major repairs or PM
Troubleshoot Equipment Issues
Optimize Traffic Flow & Usage of Salvage Material
Prioritize Shop Needs & Projects
Provide Updates & Reports to Regional Manager & Leadership
Qualifications
3+ Years of Management/Leadership Experience in Metal Recycling Industry
Strong Problem Solver
Familiar with flow of scrapyard
Solid Mechanical Aptitude
Experience leading, training & holding employees accountable
Compensation: Base salary up to 100k/year, plus an annual bonus, and relocation assistance if needed. Our client also offers competitive benefits and 401k with a company match.
